Rainbow Jello Sensory Bin

I wanted to do a Rainbow bin for the boys so I came up with a jello rainbow one.

What you will need

Jello of every color.
Bin

What to do
Fix the jello like you would any other time.
Then you just put it into a rainbow pattern like I did here.

You can really do this with any color and even add fruit too it. I didn't because Eli (15 month) and Ray (10 years) both played it in.
Now I knew this was going to be messy so we put the boys into my moms bath tub so it was easy clean up and the boys could get a bath right after..

I made mine in jars.

He was so proud when he got jello on the spoon.

Blue water sensory bin

I took Eli (14 months ) and Ray ( 10 years ) out to play on Tuesday the 19th because it was a very nice day out and I wanted them to get some sun instead of being stuck inside all day.
I made this pretty cool Blue water sensory bin for them to play with and they loved it.

What I used.
Water dyed blue with food coloring
Blue plastic toys
Blue fish tank rocks ( I got mine from Dollar Tree )
Cookie cutters ( from the $1 part of Target )
Blocks
sponges

The boys spent over 30mins playing with this and yes Eli had to get in the water haha it was okay.
They used the sponges to make water marks on the side walk. We also took out some bubbles and played with those about another 30mins.

We did this before they got dressed for the day so yes they are in night clothes

Rainbow Rice

It's so pretty
I wanted something that was okay for Eli ( 14 month) to be able to play with that felt hard but was also safe for him if he put it into his mouth. So we made Rainbow rice it's a great way for us to go over stuff that's hard and to be able to go over his colors.

                                                                What you will need.

Rubbing Alcohol or vinegar ( I used vinegar)
Uncooked white rice
Food coloring
Plastic baggies or just a bowl ( I used plastic baggies )

So for the first step I got everything together.
I used 1/4 cup for rice and 1 TSP for Vinegar

We added 1 TSP of Vinegar and then added some food coloring to it about 5-6 drops

After that we put in 1/4 cup of rice and make sure to get all of the air out of the bag and close it. Then Mix it
So I had pics of Eli mixing it put for some reason my cam deleted it :( I'm upset about it too.

To mix it just move the rice around the bag really shake it up till all the rice looks colored

And now we wait and let it sit and soak up the color for a few hours . (I left mine over night )

Then lay the rice out on a cookie sheet or glass plate to dry for a few hours.. I had mine in the sun fr around 2 hrs and it was dry.

All done.

I'll be using the rice in a Sensory Bin for Eli to play in.

I post with everything we use to rice for.

This is a super easy , cheap , and fun thing to do with kids of any age.

If you've ever made colored rice let me know how you did it and how it turned out. :)

Have a wonderful day
