Fluffy Stuff

I was on playcreateexplore's blog and I saw this fun looking stuff I wanted to try with the boys but mine didn't turn out like hers. Oh well maybe next time. If you want to see her post click here > playcreateexplore.com

This is what I ended up with tho. It was still fun to play with and really neat to watch the boys play with it.
Ray(10 years old) got out a plastic knife and fork and was cutting it up.

What you will need ...

CORNSTARCH
SHAVING CREAM
Food coloring if you want

So I didn't keep track of how much I used of each and I think that's where I went wrong but I didn't have alot of cornstarch

I would much rather have everyone go to the website I give you and see what she did because her's is way better then ours I hope to try this again very soon once I get more cornstarch and I will do a update post on it then.

Have a wonderful day everyone

Yellow Sensory Bag

This was super easy to make and the boys (14 month and 10 years) had alot of fun playing with atleast until one of the bags popped.

What you will need.
Shaving cream ( We used Dollar Tree )
food coloring
plastic bag ( again we used Dollar Tree )
Duct tape

I put a little bit of shaving cream into my bag. Make sure to leave a little room so when you get all the air out it doesn't come out the top. After you add the shaving cream put a couple drops of food coloring I used 5-6 drops. Then you need to get all the air out of the bag and close it up. I used duct taped on the top to keep it from coming out. I put Eli (14 month) Into his play bin and gave him the bag to mix the dye up with the shaving cream.

I'll let the pics speak for themselves..
I was helping Ray with his and also getting the bath ready so I didn't get alot of pics :(
I loved this and I'm going to get bigger and thicker bags for more of these bags.

Color weeks.. Yellow Week

So to help Eli (14 months) learn his colors I have started doing a new color each week. This week we are doing yellow we've had color baths and pointed out the color yellow everywhere. I was so proud yesterday when he picked up a yellow letter and said yellow.

This is my first themed bath and I can't wait to keep doing them.

This was on 3/14/2013 but I forgot to take a pic of the one they took last night.

Last night we made a sensory bag with shaving cream and food coloring.

I'll do a post showing how we made them.

We also made colored rice today :)

I'll update tomorrow with tonight and tomorrows bath.

Update we ended Yellow week on Saturday 3/17/2013 and I forgot to take a pic of the last bath sorry
