Crochet Baby Hats

I just LOVE crochet baby hats and I just had Eli  (14 months) a custom hat made over at Pam's Custom Creations on facebook. She did a wonderful job and was super nice and helpful with getting me just what I wanted.. I Love Monkeys and already had a sock monkey hat someone gave me at Eli's baby shower so I wanted something different. Now my all time favorite monkey is a Capuchin monkey and I think she did a great job at making this hat.. She started making the hat on March 18th 2013 and I got it today on March 25 2013. So she had it made and to me in just a week. This hat cost me $15 which I don't think is bad price for a 100% costumed hat. I will definitely be buying more hat from her.

cooked Noodle Sensory Bag

Today we worked on colors and squishy.

Eli loved stepping on these. He also loved to throw them out of the bin and throwing them back into it. 

When he started to get a little bored with it I gave him a old bucket that was once used for cotton candy. He then started stacking the bags on top of each other and throwing the bags into the bucket.

What I used.

noodles ( I got mine form Dollar Tree but you an get them even cheaper with coupons )

food coloring 

plastic bags 

duct tape.

Step to making this awesome bag.

1. Cook the noodles like you would any other time. Make sure to put a little oil in it so they don't get sticky.
2. Put equal amounts of noodles into your bags ( 1 bag for each color )

3. Put the food coloring in.
4  Close and get out as much air as you can

5. Duct tape the tops to keep the bags from opening.

6. Give to the kids to mix the color in :)

Why we started potty training .

So people ask me all the time why I started Eli (14months)  potty training so early.

Well the truth is  I started putting him on the potty as soon as he could sit up good by himself ( Around 5 months I think) just to get him used to sitting on it to make it easier to get him to sit on it later on when he was ready to potty train. When he was sitting on it within 5 mins of sitting there he peed so we did the happy dance and clapped and he loved it since that day he has liked sitting on the potty. He will use it and he gets soo happy about it.

Now at 14 months he walks around the house in 2T underwear that the top of his butt shows in due to them being so big. I've looked for smaller but I can't find any.
he tells me when he need to go by either running and banging on the top of the potty or saying ppp.
He will also let me know when he has to poop by grunting and then stopping till I put him on the potty.. He does wear a diaper out and to bed. When he wakes up his diaper has to come off tho he hates wearing a wet diaper and once he's peed it must be changed..

I'm going to start a potty chart for when he goes in the potty he gets 1 sticker for pee and  2 for pooping. When he gets enough stickers he will get a prize. I'm hoping this will help him be 100% potty trained sooner.

Rocket ship

So while Eli was Pudding Painting I set up my little brother Ray with a painting area of his own. Just like with Eli I set up the area in a storage bin again it was super easy clean up. After he was done I just took it to the bath tub and washed it out.

Now Ray used washed able paint and a wooden rocket ship I got for $1 at wal-mart

I just put paper into the bottom of the bin for him to paint of and put the paint on a glass plate

Pudding Paint

So I wanted something for my Eli (14month) to be able to do. I was looking for some fun easy ways for him to make stuff for us to send to his dada or just do around the house and one of the things I found was Pudding Paint. It's so easy to make and it's safe for him to eat . (He likes to put stuff in his mouth so whatever we do it has to be safe to eat

What you need is..
Pudding mix ( I got vanilla )
Milk
Food coloring ( you can use whatever color or make new colors)
Bowls ( How ever many colors you have you will need a bowl for each)
something to mix it with.

SO start off by making the pudding mix in a large bowl.

Put into different bowls ( I think I did 1/4 in each bowl)

Add the food coloring. ( I didn't count the drops. Just put till you
get the color you want.

Set up the painting area ( I have a storage bin he  an fit into)

Now just let them paint :)

See everything must go into his mouth 

He was super sticky after he got done but nothing a quick shower couldn't fix. With using the storage bin for him it was a super fast and easy way to clean everything back up.... The colors did come out pretty pastel and had kind of a yellow tint but that was due to the pudding. If you have older kids or you want to change the flavor of the pudding you can also add extracts to it.

I really hope everyone gets a chance to try this with their little ones you can start this kind of painting at a pretty young age and like I said he had a blast.
