Food

So I just want to start off by saying where has the time gone? I can't believe it's been weeks since I last posted. I've been so busy dealing with getting our house and deployment. I've also been trying to find new way to earn and save money.. I've been selling this on my facebook yardsaling sites and that's going pretty good. The stuff we're selling ( My mom and I) it's stock pile stuff we've gotten for free or cheap and have tried but didn't like.. We do coupons which is how we've gotten alot of this. My mom also got 10 different fruit trees a couple of weeks ago while they were on sale for 50% off at Lowes.

We got our gardens planted and hopefully we will start to get things form them soon. The wild blackberry are crazy this year and I can't wait to pick those.

I'm going to make a list of things I hope to get done this summer to either earn money or save it.

1. Get a lot of wild black berries pick and frozen
2. Get a lot of fresh stuff either caned or frozen or dehydrated.
3. Get Eli 100% potty trained.
4. Get our own place

I'll keep adding to the list as I think of them.

I found this awesome  blog about this lady who gardens and coupons. She only spends about $100 a month at the store. Don't we all wish we could do that?

I'm going to post a link to here blog Here

She had a great idea to go to a local store and ask them to save the product for her. Now this is stuff that they would normally just throw out into the trash. She is getting not only food for her chicken but also for herself. Would you ever do this? Even if you don't have chicken it would still be worth a shot if you have compost.  I have to say I love the idea.

What ways do y'all save money?

I wish

I wish I had more time. Josh ( DH) and I have started buying a house and with him deployed it's a lot harder on me because I had to find a place we would both like and was in our budget. Also the POA I have isn't what we need so now I have to get another one and blah blah.. I can't wait to have our own place. I have a lot of DIY stuff coming up I have some tables I'm going to redo and I have some chair I need to redo. We're painting the house before we move in. I also have some yard work I will need to do once we get the house. It's a lot. I also have a lot of stuff at church going on plus my little cousin is Graduating from High School and at some point I am going to have to pick Josh up..I just want to get back to posting and doing our arts and crafts.. Hopefully I'll be able to start posting again soon. I'm sorry everyone. I'm still doing themed baths right now but there pretty low key.

Have a wonderful night everyone.

Oh and if you have any ideas you would like to see please let me know and I will see what I can do.
I'm also on Pinterest now :)

Spring bath

This week is spring week so we've been doing things with spring and flowers and bugs.
Tonight I did a flower bath for the boys.

Inside Garden.

Hey every one. :) I was in Dollar Tree the other day and I saw they had these Mini Green Houses for $1 each so I got the 3 you see in the 1st pic. Then I went to Target and they also had some for $1 so I got the 2 you see in the 2nd pic. If you keep scrolling down you will see what all these came with and how easy they are to use.

Pink Cosmos.Tomatoes. Cucumber
Cilantro. Sweet  Basil
Place the growing medium pellets in a bowl or cup. Add approximately 6 tablespoons lukewarm water. Let the pellets absorb the water . Use a work to fluff . Put the growing medium in the pot. Sow only 10 seeds in the pot and use the extra seeds in your garden. Place the seeds on top and lightly press the seeds into the growing medium. Cover with lid and plac in a sunny Location. Keep moist. Transplant when the plants are 3" tall to a larger pot or to your garden. Be sure to add plant food when plants are 3' tall.

Before the water. sorry forget to get  after pic.

after water and seeds.
All done

All done. I love these. We do have a big garden in the back yard and once these are big enough they will be moved to it.

Update :)

So it's been a little while since we planted these and I have to say I love the little green house.
Now instead of putting these into the ground with everything else I'm going to try the pallet garden.

Cucumber

Pink Cosmos

After I put the Pink Cosmos into the pot above I planted sweet peas :)

Outside Sensory Bin

So after a lot of rain we finally got a day of sun shine :) After being stuck in the house for so long I wanted to do a sensory bin using things from outside. I got Nita to take Eli and Ray outside with buckets to pick some flowers and get some grass. While they did that I was inside making a bird nest using pine needles and plastic eggs .. After the boys played with the bin I put everything but the eggs into our compost bin so it was a win. win.

We also put in plastic bugs.
