Candy cane sugar scrub

One of the things Eli and I made for his grandma's was this super cute and awesome smelling sugar scrub. It's hard coming up with easy gift ideas for Eli to help with since he's not even 3 but he had no problem doing these.

What you will need.

White Sugar.
Glass jars with lids. ( These are super cute)
Red food coloring Or Beet Root Powder or Magic Red Mica Powder
2 Bowls.

I filled both jars up with sugar.
1. Put the sugar into a bowl
2. Add the Peppermint EO's. Eli went a little crazy with the oil so not sure how many drops he did. Oops.

3. Mix it all up.

4. Eli filled 1 jar up with sugar so we have the same amount of white and red.

5. With the left over sugar add the red coloring.

6. Mix it up.

7. Add a little white sugar to the jar then red, then white, then red and so on.

8. We added a ribbon and label. I just kinda forgot to take a picture of it.

Which Greek Goddess are you?

My mom, sister and I are always joking about who our Greek parents are. We are also always taking quizzes to see what they say... Well Mom and Nita also always say I'm a child of Athena. That is also  what every quiz I get says.. So I'm going to share a little bit about Athena.

Athena was the Greek virgin goddess of reason, intelligent activity, arts and literature. She was the daughter of Zeus; her birth is unique in that she did not have a mother. Instead, she sprang full grown and clad in armour from Zeus' forehead.
She was fierce and brave in battle; however, she only took part in wars that defended the state and home from outside enemies. She was the patron of the city, handcraft, and agriculture. She invented the bridle, which permitted man to tame horses, the trumpet, the flute, the pot, the rake, the plow, the yoke, the ship, and the chariot. She was the embodiment of wisdom, reason, and purity. She was Zeus' favourite child and was allowed to use his weapons including his thunderbolt. She became the patron saint of Athens, after winning a contest against Poseidon. Her holy tree is the olive tree and she is often symbolised as an owl.

Wikipedia
was the goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, strategic warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill in ancient Greek religion and mythologyMinerva is the Roman goddessidentified with Athena.[2]
Athena is portrayed as a shrewd companion of heroes and is the patron goddess of heroic endeavour. She is the virgin patroness of Athens. The Athenians founded the Parthenon on the Acropolis of her namesake city, Athens (Athena Parthenos), in her honour.[2]
Veneration of Athena was so persistent that archaic myths about her were recast to adapt to cultural changes. In her role as a protector of the city (polis), many people throughout the Greek world worshipped Athena asAthena Polias (Ἀθηνᾶ Πολιάς "Athena of the city"). While the city of Athens and the goddess Athena essentially bear the same name (Athena the goddess, Athenai the city), it is not known which of the two words is derived from the other.[3]

This is what one quiz said.

Athena Goddess of War and Wisdom
Cool and collected. People look to you for wisdom and advice. You tend to keep to yourself and sometimes wonder how you got stuck with all the idiots around you. You try and keep to yourself and not get involved in such petty drama however there are moments when people test you and you get involved due to your temper, you won't admit to this however

For anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge night person so the OWL is a perfect fit for me.
